The Casa Vieja SailFly is an exclusive 3-day fly fishing tournament hosted at the world-renowned Casa Vieja Lodge in Guatemala. With just six boats reserved exclusively for our group, anglers enjoy complete privacy and a one-of-a-kind fishing experience. The trip is all-inclusive covering accommodations, meals, and world-class fishing with pricing based on your selected boat. Entry is $750 per angler, with two anglers per team recommended (up to four anglers per boat). Held in prime season, the tournament offers not only plentiful sailfish but also the exciting chance at marlin on fly.

Schedule of Events
The Casa Vieja Lodge SailFly kicks off with a welcome party and check-in at the Casa Vieja Lodge Bar, where anglers, & captains gather to set the stage for the competition. Three full fishing days follow, with lines in at 8:00 a.m. and lines out at 4:00 p.m., as teams chase sailfish on fly in the heart of the Guatemala. Each day wraps up with score sheets submitted by 7:00 p.m. The tournament concludes with a celebratory awards banquet at the Casa Veija Lodge Bar, where we honor the champions and toast another year of world-class fishing.

2024 CHAMPIONS
The 2024 Casa Vieja SailFly delivered three incredible days on the water, with red-hot fishing and close competition right until the end. The fleet tallied 40 releases on the fly, with our top angler, Miguel Sosa, releasing an impressive 8 sailfish solo. Teams battled Marlin and Sails in classic Casa Vieja fashion, and the camaraderie back at the lodge was just as memorable as the fishing. Congratulations to our 2024 champions, Capt. Randy Towe & Miguel Sosa, on the Makaira and all the anglers who made this year’s tournament one to remember!
